My mum often gets asked if she sends PJ dogs out to foster homes. In short, no - because its complicated with all the form filling and the insurances.
However... there are two ladies who are volunteers/committee/long standing helpers of PJ (Caring Lady and Super Sister) and they take the vulnerable and palliative care dogs if they are in need of that extra special care.
PJ does offer to cover the medical costs for any dog being rehomed that has an existing and ongoing ailment/heath problem. I hope this clarifies the situation.
Sorry to disappoint those who wanted to foster for us - however, we still have dogs looking to be adopted into homes... And think of it this way, it's very straight forward really as PJ dogs are either adopted into homes or they are living their best forever life at the hospice. Win win all around!
Bye for now,
love Toto xx
