I'm so excited to tell you what an incredible year we've had! The PJ team - which includes me as Ambassadog, the PJ supporters, the volunteers and the workforce - have achieved incredible things, together! Just look at this H U G E l o n ggggggggggggggggggg list of achievements for just this year alone! Together we have -
- Saved 78 animals from abuse and death (including 10 cats and 3 pigs), plus some poultry
- Introduced the PJ PUP (Preventing Unwanted Puppies) scheme which has already paid & carried out for an amazing 121 spays/neuters to date
- Sent an incredible, 576 - yep! FIVE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SIX - bags of feed to the Balkans
- Sent van loads of bedding, pet carriers, worming tablets and animal sundries to the Balkans
- Renewed 10 dog kennels
- Installed/replaced 3 large cat shelters to form the PJ Cat Village
- Replaced the poultry area with one that is fully compliant for the ever threatening avian flu
- Laid artificial grass to most dog paddocks
- Extended the water supply to reach various areas of the hospice
- Ordered and paid for a permenant mains electricity supply to replace the aging generator which has served the sanctuary lights and heat lamps for soooooooo long (hope we don't get powercuts!)
- Replaced the feed store
- Replaced the pig/goat/sheep pens/housing
- Replaced the wooden animal shelter in the yard with 5 blockwork kennels and 2 pig stys
- Extended the animal shelter roofing
- Repaired the livestock housing
- Replaced some fencing
