Leia arrived in early November 2022 from Bosnia, where she had been living in a large private shelter for many years. On arrival, Leia needed a little time to settle into her new home and new routine before we promoted her - and then we decided to wait until after Christmas. So... here she is! Ready and waiting patiently for her chance to catch someone's eye and find her forever home.
Leia is a mature gentle lady (aged about 11) with plenty of energy for walks and exploring but she also really loves and appreciates quiet time and cuddles. She is medium sized but she is slender and 'lady-like'. Leia enjoys her walks and seems to really appreciate being out and about. She walks beautifully on a lead and walks with a smile on her face!
This affectionate girl loves tummy rubs and cuddles. She would love to have a her own special human to snuggle up to and could live with other dogs. Leia has not been cat tested.
Writing about a dog like Leia is not easy because she doesn't have any bad points to make her story exciting and she isn't a cute fluffy puppy to catch your attention. I can't even give you lots of lovely photos as the weather is rubbish - and photos taken inside a kennel are always unflattering. But what Leia is, is a perfect companion who is an absolute pleasure to be with. Leia just wants to be your best friend and she has so much love to give. She would love to show you every day just how happy she is and would love to spread her happiness to you!
