Some of you may remember the two powerful storms of Winter 2021 that caused so much damage to the hospice. It did, however, intensify the programme of improvements at the hospice and we have just about completed yet ANOTHER(!) project, and this time it was achieved with local funding.
Our sincere thanks to Hallburn Wind Farm Community Fund who believed in our project and awarded Penny Jones Animal Hospice with the funding to make it happen.
The Hallburn Wind Farm Community Fund received many grant applications and the panel of judges, which included the local councils, agreed to award PJ with the funds to replace some older kennels with heavy duty replacements* and replace the artificial grass* surrounding them. We are absolutely delighted with the results and, more importantly, the dogs love them too. These kennels will house the dogs that desperately need our help, and we hope that the people whose story lies behind those dogs coming to PJ, are every bit as impressed as we are.
